Crackling wit and “family secrets” abound in this ironic fable about life in Mud Creek, Kentucky in this riotous family  ‘dramedy’ by Catherine Bush (playwright of Walking Across Egypt and resident playwright of  Virginia’s famed Barter Theatre).  Ida May Combs’s granddaughter, Cindy,  has married the hated son of a rival moonshining family, her son Ronnie is having an affair with his best friend’s wife and Sheriff Ham Terhune is cracking down on the epidemic drug spree sweeping the area. As Ida May struggles to maintain control over her “family”, make and sell her famous quilts, all must confront their secrets to choose between love, loyalty… and life.
