August 2- Imagination Library Ice Cream Social August 3 & 4- Mount Mitchell Crafts Fair Five survivors at the Little Sisters of Hoboken Nunnery parade their talents at a variety show staged to raise funds so that the last four of their dearly departed comrades, having succumbed to botulism, can be buried. The sisters, whose backgrounds range from ex-circus performer to streetwise Brooklyn-ite, engage in rather un-nun-like shenanigans as they do their wacky song–and–dance routines, perform ventriloquism and draw the audience into their outrageous high jinks. The rollicking score is interspersed with spontaneous comic interludes and shameless nuns - I mean puns - paced at break–neck speed.
