The Parkway Playhouse is a small professional theatre company located in Burnsville, North Carolina. Established in 1946, the Parkway Playhouse is one of North Carolina's oldest theatre companies and produces six productions between June and September in its historic facility just north of Burnsville's Town Square. The theatre produces several off-season events as well.
The theatre hires production and managment staff on a contract basis for the duration of the season. The hiring process for production and management staff generally begins in January and concludes in early April.
The theatre also has an active intern program that allows pre-professional students the opportunity to get hands-on experience while working with professionals. Information about 2007 Internships will be available in January.

PRODUCTION:
Properties and Wardrobe Shop(s) Supervisor:
Seasonal/part-time position from May 19-September 6. This person will be responsible for maintaining costume and props inventories for the theatre during production, working with scenic and costume designers for productions to acquire items needed for production. Hours are flexible. Must possess strong sewing skills, time management, strong interpersonal communication skills, and be able to effectively work in a high-energy environment with multiple deadlines. Box Office Assistant:
