I am a father to two beautiful girls, Zoe and Georgia. I attended Mitchell High School.
I have studied piano and voice extensively since age seven. I have written over thirty instrumental piano pieces during my life.
I love musical theatre! I'm obsessed with Jonathan Larson's "RENT" as well as all the works of Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Why do you enjoy being a teaching Artist working with Parkway Playhouse Junior students?
Teaching music is my passion. I'm excited to become a Teaching Artist at Parkway Playhouse. I put 110% effort into each of my students. I want to pass along my love of music to others.
How are you passionate about the Arts?
All my life, the arts have been my solace and my sanctuary. As a performer and a teacher of the arts, I am able to express myself. I truly believe my purpose in life is to be a teacher of the arts. My goal is to bestow the gift of music on others, as it was given to me.
I am no stranger to the stage. I have appeared in the HCYB's production of The Nutcracker.
Recently I acted in multiple roles in Mitchell County Community Theatre's production of Catch Me If You Can (Jack Barnes/Dr. Wanamaker/Pan Am Executive).
I am currently in Parkway Playhouse's production of You Can't Take It With You (Jim) under the direction of Tony Award winning director Chris Hart.
I have been teaching piano music theory, as well as voice instruction since 2010, teaching private lessons. I specialize in teaching special needs and gifted students. I have been extensively trained in approaches to teaching the Suzuki method. I am in the process of authoring an e book to help other instructors with special needs students. In addition, I am one of the few vocal teachers in the area to specialize in the Alexander Technique for vocal training
In the last year, I have also begun a pageant preparation/etiquette service to coach beauty pageant contestants.
I have served as Minister of Music/Music Director in several local churches.
I have coordinated cantatas, led and organized children's choirs and also written several plays/musicals for K-6 students to perform while under my direction.
