I've heard a lot of good things about the Parkway Playhouse Junior program. Where can I find out more about it?
Check out the Parkway Playhouse Junior page.
Where do I park?
There is street parking on the road that circles the library (High School Drive / School Circle). There is also a small lot beside Parkway Playhouse just off Green Mountain Drive. We recommend arriving early to secure a prime spot.
What is the dress code for Parkway Playhouse?
Dress is casual. The Parkway Playhouse theatre is air conditioned, but it is not insulated, so it can be pretty warm in the summer. Please dress accordingly.
How long before curtain (show time) should I arrive?
We suggest that you try to get there at least 30 minutes before the performance. Arriving early will give you time to get to your seat, get a beverage or snack, read the program, and relax for a bit before the show starts. Construction traffic on US 19E can make travel time a bit unpredictable, so please plan accordingly. People who arrive late disturb the performers on stage and audience members. If you are late, you may be temporarily given a seat in the back of the theatre until an appropriate time for you to get to your assigned seat.
Are there dining facilities at Parkway Playhouse?
No, however there are restaurants in the area. Check out our plan a visit page. With that being said, we do have concessions featuring popcorn, candy, bottled water, sodas, and wine. While we do accept credit and debit cards for ticket sales, our concession sales are cash only.
What is proper "theatre etiquette" when attending a performance at Parkway Playhouse?
What is the best way to stay informed about upcoming events at Parkway Playhouse and Parkway Playhouse Junior?
We want every guest to have a wonderful, unforgettable experience during their visit. To provide that assurance, we ask that all noise making devices (cell phones, pagers, wristwatch alarms) are silenced and that, when possible, our guests remain seated during all productions.
Please keep chatter to a minimal level. A quick whisper to your neighbor, or an audible reaction to something interesting that happens on stage is fine (this is the live theater, not the morgue), but please hold conversations until intermission and after the show.
Candy wrappers and other noises made by food or beverage consumption can also be a distraction, so we ask that you keep this in mind during the show.
Visit the restroom before the performance begins, during intermission, or after the show. Unless there is an emergency, plan to stay seated during the performance.
Finally, we encourage you to share your experience at Parkway Playhouse via social media, but please refrain from doing so or texting during performances; the glow from your device is distracting.
Please visit our Stay Connected page for links to our blog, social media pages, and eNewsletter.
You may also want to become a Parkway Playhouse member. Members who donate $25 or more receive a complimentary subscription to From the Wings, the Parkway Playhouse member newsletter published quarterly and filled with behind-the-scenes stories and member news.
