Outlander Audition Information

Open Auditions: April 1st and 3rd at 6:30pm at the Mountain Heritage Center located at 113 Green Mountain Drive (directly accross the street from the theatre). 
 
Summary: 
OUTLANDER chronicles the expoits and impact of Horace Kephart from his arrival in Western NC in the early part of the 20th Century through his unexpected death. Told using traditional A...ppalachian Music and Storytelling techniques- OUTLANDER paints a picture of how one man changed the mountains and how the mountains changed him. 

Audition Procedures: All actors should completely fill out an audition form upon arrival and then wait to be called. Actors will read from sides and sing a traditional folk-style song (a capaella is acceptable). Actor/musicians should be prepared to demonstrate their ability to play a traditional corded instrument (bass, guitar, banjo).

Professional/Semi-Professional Actors: Actors should present a recent headshot/resume. Either accompany themselves with a corded instrument (actors should bring their own instruments) or sing a capella traditional folk song and present a 60 second monologue or tell a 60 second story.
